Children's Book Editor
Through my internships with both Scholastic and Little, Brown Books for Young Readers, I gained experience about editorial work and the children's publishing industry. I fell in love with the industry around book publishing and especially the role that a great editor can play in making a beautiful book come to life. I am currently seeking full time employment.
Working with both writers and editors, I provide my own cultural expertise in order to improve the authenticity of various works. I have worked with prose and graphic novels. I most often read for transgender and gay representation, although I also read for Catholic, southern, and depression related content.

Freelance Editorial Work
In college, I worked as a writing tutor giving students one on one instruction and feedback on their individual essays as well as how to improve as a writer overall. With the skills I gained in the Writing Center setting, I have been able to expand my knowledge working with a variety of writers to improve their personal projects.
I have also worked with organizations to work on creating messaging and a vision for their communication with the world at large.
